Dancers in Jazz Co. will participate in weekly conditioning, technique, and ballet classes. This is the base level training company for all dancers wishing to compete in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, or hip hop.

Contemporary Co.

Dancers in Contemporary Co. will participate in the same weekly conditioning, technique, and ballet classes as Jazz Co., as well as additional across-the-floor, improv, and combo classes. These dancers have already proven their commitment to training and advanced level of technique to the instructors in order to receive this next-level, pre-professional level of training through the Contemporary Company.

Company Auditions:

Dancers participate in annual auditions to determine placement in Jazz, Contemporary, and/or Tap Company.  Dancers may be accepted into one, two, or all three companies. All dancers pay an all-inclusive monthly tuition, determined by age level and number of companies made.  Once a dancer has been accepted into a certain company, they will be given specific required classes to take on a weekly basis.  However, the all inclusive tuition includes any and all additional classes dancers wish to take advantage of, as well as most all master classes with guest teachers.

Company Commitment:

 Conventions/Competitions

3 Regional Team Convention/Competitions + 1 Supplemental Convention + 1 Team Nationals Convention/Competition

Performances

Beyond Dance Project will be highly involved in the local community.  Plan on multiple performances throughout the year.

Company Training, Choreography, & Structure:

We use all of our weekly classes strictly for training, conditioning, and working to get all company members on the same page.  Choreography & rehearsals for group pieces will occur on weekends and specially assigned times some weeks, in addition to the dancers' technique classes. Our belief is that focusing on training and technique will provide the basis needed for strong, clean group routines.

Attire:

All Company dancers will be required to wear all black fitted dancewear. (black leotard/black sports bra, black shorts/black leggings, etc.) Clothing should create uniformity amongst the groups and allows the teachers to see proper placement and lines.  Uniform leotard and pink tights are mandatory in all Company Ballet classes.

Compliance to Company Contract:

Dancers selected for any Company, along with their parent/legal guardian, must sign a Company Contract, in which they contractually agree to compliance to all rules, commitments, dates, and code of conduct set in place by Beyond Dance Project’s Owners/Directors. This includes, but is not limited to, commitment to paying all fees promptly and in full; commitment to attending all required rehearsals, performances, choreography days, conventions, and competitions; and commitment to regular weekly attendance in all classes. Failure to comply with the contract can result in a dancer’s probation or termination from the Company. This contract is put in place to ensure that each company member is as dedicated and committed as the other; but also out of respect for Company members and the Directors. Compliance to the contract will ensure smooth and successful operation of Beyond Dance Project and will produce positive results.
